Filip Šicko (born in 1981). Between 2001 and 2006 he studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava under the guidance of his professor Jozef Jakonvič. Very quickly he was able to display his work at both Slovak and abroad sculpture symposiums. His sculptures are permanently part of various exhibitions around Japan, South Korea, Israel, Turkey and Romania. He loves to work with bronze, stone and concrete primarily but his hands are suited for 3D models as well.
Through the course of his creative endeavour Filip always felt detached from the dogmatic perception of sculpture. Dodging the incentive of doing something stale, he likes to leap back and forth from shores of realism to abstract waters. Each piece is both a witness and teller of a moving poem about often immovable objects.
